Indoor Hockey Camp
East Coast Field Hockey provides the only professional indoor hockey camp in the USA. This camp consists of 3 full days of indoor hockey instruction. The head Coach for this course is coach Heino Knuf, Germany’s director of coaching or one of the Indoor Staff coaches assigned by Coach Knuf. Since Germany has been and remains one of the Best Indoor Hockey programs in the world, the staff for this course naturally comes from Germany. This dynamic hockey program encompasses all the exciting skills of indoor hockey and will challenge you in every facet of your indoor game. Players need to arrive with a fundamental understanding of indoor hockey. Many of the indoor techniques and tactics you learn you will be able to transfer to your outdoor field hockey game. If and when you have the opportunity to play field hockey on astro turf, you’ll quickly discover that all these indoor skills you possess have now made you a better and more successful field hockey player.
Indoor hockey is far more than changing to an indoor hockey stick. It is an entirely new dimension of hockey played at a pace that will surprise most players with ball speeds in the 40 mph arena!!!!  That’s fast so you need to both think and play at greater speeds. With all the new Rule of Field Hockey changing the game to a faster one, Indoor Hockey will now have an even greater positive impact on your Field Hockey. Many players quickly develop a “love of playing” indoor hockey with all the tricks, skills and drills associated with playing “real indoor hockey”. Don’t be confused, there are two distinctively different sports played with a hockey stick and a ball, one is Field Hockey (this is played outdoors on grass or turf) and the other is Indoor Hockey (played on wood or plastic playing surfaces with a different stick and a different ball).
